Forbes has shared its annual list of the highest-paid hip-hop acts for 2019. Topping this year’s list for the first time in his career is Kanye West with a pretax income of $150 million USD, hugely thanks to YEEZY’s expected $1.5 billion USD sales grab. He jumps from last year’s No. 10 spot to outrank JAY-Z, 2018’s top earner, who steps down to No. 2 with $81 million USD.
Coming at No. 3 is Drake, moving up one spot with $75 million USD. He’s followed by Diddy who falls from last year’s No. 2 to No. 4 with $70 million USD, succeeded by Travis Scott at No. 5 whose $58 million USD kicks him up from 2018’s No. 15 spot. Eminem also climbs an impressive seven spots to No. 6 with $50 million USD, just above DJ Khaled’s $40 million USD and Kendrick Lamar’s $38.5 million USD. Rounding out this year’s top 10 are trap trio Migos with $36 million USD at No. 9 and Childish Gambino at No. 10 with $35 million USD.

Margot Robbie took to Instagram to reveal the official poster for Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) and finally announce its release date.
The visuals feature a dizzy Harley Quinn in front of miniature versions of herself and the rest of Birds of Prey’s characters. The image may convey cartoonish imagery of a character seeing birds fly around their head after getting hit, or it may just be a representation of Quinn’s crazy mind. Speaking of, the character also has the phrase “mind over mayhem” written on her neck.
Either way, the upcoming DC Comics film will star Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain. According to IMDB, the synopsis reads: After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord.
Birds of Prey will hit theaters February 7, 2020.
This week, for Women Crush Wednesday, we have to celebrate our friend Lauren Goodger. She is currently starring in the latest series of the E4 show “Celebs Go Dating”. I’ve never watched the series before, I am now and enjoying it, certainly not for the faint hearted.
Lauren Rose Goodger (born 19 September 1986) is an English television personality, glamour model, media personality and columnist. She starred in the ITVBe reality show The Only Way Is Essex from 2010 until 2012, debuting in the first series before departing in series 6.
Nike Running just dropped the Air VaporMax in a midnight navy and laser orange colourway. For summer 2019, Nike Sportswear is using a similar colour palette to dress the Air Max 95 SE.
The sneaker is formed in layers of grey-blue, midnight navy and white with laser orange accents. The sky influenced palette is accented with a dot pattern graphic that flows in a negative and positive form.

A (stylized as “A”) is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Usher, released in collaboration with American record producer Zaytoven, who also produced the album. … The album is an homage to the city of Atlanta, where Usher and Zaytoven grew up. A features guest appearances from Future and Gunna.
I grabbed this album as soon as I saw it on Apple Music. Usher is still undoubtably the truth when it comes to R&B, and teaming up with Zaytoven I was expecting something special, and this album did not disappoint…apart from it only being 8 tracks in length. Is this worth a listen? YES if you are a true R&B fan, and not a fan of mumble R&B that many artists seem to produce.
The stand out track for me is Birthday, Usher delivers a “ATL In The Strip Club” banger, I can hear this being rinsed in sets, and if its not, well, I sure will. My second certified banger on this album is “She Ain’t Tell Ya”, this sounds like classic Usher, explaining to a female friend of a female he obviously was doing something with, this track will have you wanting to sway with a large drink in your right hand, and left hand on her waist, remember i told you about this one!!
All in all, this project gets a solid 10 out of 10 from me, and I’m looking forward to more music from the great one Usher.
A woman is boxed out by the male sports agents in her profession, but gains an unexpected edge over them when she develops the ability to hear their thoughts. Magically able to hear what men are thinking, a sports agent uses her newfound ability to turn the tables on her overbearing male colleagues.
With the much anticipated Lil Wayne project, Tha Carter V being released today, that will be what the hip hop community is focusing on. Kanye West has also announced he will be releasing his new project Yandhi as well this weekend.
In a tweet Ye, has paid homage to Lil Wayne and respectfully announced he won’t release his project on the same day, but a day later. This is what I call Real Recognising Real, and Legends work together instead of against each other.
I’m looking forward to the musical weekend ahead.
After a short break, I am back with my Tunes Tuesday feature, i know this upload is on a Thursday, I forgot to set up the post schedule.
Smerker and his manager Magic, brought me in as his PA DJ for his Butterfly Effect Festival performance in July, which in simple terms, was a shut down over all other performances in the mixtape madness tent on the day, FACTS.
Smerker was toying with the idea of remixing his hit banger Stars in the Wraith, but didn’t want it to be the same cliche MC’s doing this, so he sought out 3 of the current U.K. realist rhymers, Pak-Man, Deep Green, and my favourite J Spades. Shout to Dukus on the beats as always.
Have a watch of the video, and then watch it again, because its a certified banger! Look our for Smerker’s next track dropping soon, we got work to do.
Rebekah Vardy never fails to have some of the best online images taken by paparazzi. In this set of images, captured while she was on holiday in Portugal. The wife of Jamie Vardy, enjoyed her time by the pool, and showed off her flawless figure in a shower shot, which the photographer did not miss a trick on taking. Fair to say she gets the crown for this weeks Woman Crush Wednesday.
This is the first track released from Kenny Allstar’s upcoming album Block Diaries, which features Headie One. I feel the track speaks to me, as most of my time out and about, is always spent in tracksuits and sneakers. It’s all about that comfortable lifestyle.
MCM is certainly my favourite leather fashion brand, and their 2018 Winter collection, has not disappointed me. This is a new version of the much loved STARK backpack.
Teaming Visetos coated canvas and nappa leather, this style contrasts this season’s vibrant Chevron motif with a monochrome base to impressive effect. Premium mesh material at the back boosts comfort and breathability, while a total of three pockets – as well as an internal laptop sleeve – offer secure storage for all your essentials.
Bag size dimensions
- 41 x 33 x 15 cm
- Leather top handle
- Adjustable shoulder straps
- Front zipped pocket
- Cotton twill lining
This backpack is available directly from the MCM website, and MCM flagship store in London.
Streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video will likely soon have to ensure at least 30 percent of their libraries are dedicated to local content in the European Union. A preliminary agreement on the rules is already in place, and Roberto Viola, who oversees the European Commission department in charge of networks, content and technology, said the quota is set to become law in December. He indicated to Variety that the vote is “a mere formality.”
The streaming companies will have to commission European-made shows and movies, buy them or contribute to national film funds. The services will also likely have to make sure the local content has prominent placement in their libraries.
Once the measures are enshrined in law, EU countries will have 20 months to apply them, and Viola noted that member states can opt to increase their individual quotas to 40 percent of local material. The nations can also determine if they want to mandate production of a minimum number of shows and movies in their own countries, and whether they will apply a surcharge on subscription fees to pay into national film funds, like Netflix has to do in Germany.
Netflix is already close to meeting the EU’s 30 percent quota, Viola said; the EU will publish data next month highlighting how much European content each streaming service currently offers. Meanwhile, the EU is also working on rules to require streaming companies and platforms like YouTube(where users upload most content) to pay higher copyright fees to writers and directors.
Streaming services have made investments in some other local markets. Netflix, for instance, is spending $400 million on Canadian content over five years.

Kick starting my new feature, Tunes Tuesday, with this new release from AJ Tracey. The music video, being shot in Cuba, keeps it authentic to the lyrics AJ Tracey is spitting.
Having scored a Top 20 with his summer anthem ‘Butterflies ft. Not3s’, AJ Tracey switches lanes towards a harder rap sound on his new single ‘LO(V/S)ER’.
The West London rapper flexes the gritty flow he built his name off before the numbers came, with anticipation for a new project reaching fever pitch!

College student NATALIE (Forsyth) is visiting her childhood best friend BROOKE (Edwards) and her roommate TAYLOR (Taylor-Klaus).
If it was any other time of year these three and their boyfriends might be heading to a concert or bar, but it is Halloween which means that like everyone else they will be bound for HELL FEST – a sprawling labyrinth of rides, games, and mazes that travels the country and happens to be in town. Every year thousands follow Hell Fest to experience fear at the ghoulish carnival of nightmares. But for one visitor, Hell Fest is not the attraction – it is a hunting ground.
