Tunes Tuesday | Usher & Zaytoven – “A” [@usher] [@zaytovenbeatz]

A (stylized as “A”) is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Usher, released in collaboration with American record producer Zaytoven, who also produced the album. … The album is an homage to the city of Atlanta, where Usher and Zaytoven grew up. A features guest appearances from Future and Gunna.

Bannerz Words….

I grabbed this album as soon as I saw it on Apple Music. Usher is still undoubtably the truth when it comes to R&B, and teaming up with Zaytoven I was expecting something special, and this album did not disappoint…apart from it only being 8 tracks in length. Is this worth a listen? YES if you are a true R&B fan, and not a fan of mumble R&B that many artists seem to produce.

The stand out track for me is Birthday, Usher delivers a “ATL In The Strip Club” banger, I can hear this being rinsed in sets, and if its not, well, I sure will. My second certified banger on this album is “She Ain’t Tell Ya”, this sounds like classic Usher, explaining to a female friend of a female he obviously was doing something with, this track will have you wanting to sway with a large drink in your right hand, and left hand on her waist, remember i told you about this one!!

All in all, this project gets a solid 10 out of 10 from me, and I’m looking forward to more music from the great one Usher.

Music News | The Carter V & Yandhi releasing this weekend

With the much anticipated Lil Wayne project, Tha Carter V being released today, that will be what the hip hop community is focusing on. Kanye West has also announced he will be releasing his new project Yandhi as well this weekend.

In a tweet Ye, has paid homage to Lil Wayne and respectfully announced he won’t release his project on the same day, but a day later. This is what I call Real Recognising Real, and Legends work together instead of against each other.

I’m looking forward to the musical weekend ahead.

Tunes Tuesday | [@smerkerofficial] Stars in the Wraith remix [Video]

After a short break, I am back with my Tunes Tuesday feature, i know this upload is on a Thursday, I forgot to set up the post schedule.

Smerker and his manager Magic, brought me in as his PA DJ for his Butterfly Effect Festival performance in July, which in simple terms, was a shut down over all other performances in the mixtape madness tent on the day, FACTS.

Smerker was toying with the idea of remixing his hit banger Stars in the Wraith, but didn’t want it to be the same cliche MC’s doing this, so he sought out 3 of the current U.K. realist rhymers, Pak-Man, Deep Green, and my favourite J Spades. Shout to Dukus on the beats as always.

Have a watch of the video, and then watch it again, because its a certified banger! Look our for Smerker’s next track dropping soon, we got work to do.

Tunes Tuesday | @AJTracey – LO(V/S)ER

Kick starting my new feature, Tunes Tuesday, with this new release from AJ Tracey. The music video, being shot in Cuba, keeps it authentic to the lyrics AJ Tracey is spitting.

Having scored a Top 20 with his summer anthem ‘Butterflies ft. Not3s’AJ Tracey switches lanes towards a harder rap sound on his new single ‘LO(V/S)ER’.

The West London rapper flexes the gritty flow he built his name off before the numbers came, with anticipation for a new project reaching fever pitch!

Interview | What Jammer Said to DJ Argue [@jammerbbk]

DJ Argue interviews grime legend Jammer. I’ve now had the time to watch the interview in full, and I have to agree with what Jammer says through out. DJ’s, Rappers and all type of entertainers, in the current time don’t put in the foot work on new music, and the rise of social media has watered down the work rate that many fore fathers put in for tracks to blow. Have a watch, and make the opinion for yourself.

Music Video | Drake – God’s Plan

6 God aka Drake, just dropped the visuals for his latest single “God’s Plan”. Have a watch, at how Drake helps out many people in this video, by giving away the video budget, instead of making a CGI filled video as I’m sure he was suppose to. Good on you Drake, other artists could learn something from this.

Music | Yungen feat Mr Eazi “All Night Long” [@yungenplaydirty]

Yungen has been delivering fresh music, it would seem monthly. Last Friday I received his new street single “Chosen”,  and today I’ve woken up to another new single, this time featuring AfroBeat star Mr Eazi, titled “All Night”. Fair to say Yungen has gone from the bestie friendzone, to All Night! Check it out.

Music Video | YoMenza feat EazyMan – Tripple OG’s [ @yomenza ]

South London natives YoMenza & EazyMan have linked up to bring you a fresh U.K. street banger, “Tripple OGs”. The track it self, is solid, no mumble raps on this track, just the raw U.K. hip hop as we appreciate. The visuals for this track was filmed in our home town of Croydon, and the creative on this video is a release from all the same old videos with booty shaking and no story telling content.

Music Video | J Hus – Spirit [ @jhus ]

London based J Hus has enjoyed a continued flow of success with his music, and the working machine has no signs of slowing down. This week he released the visuals for his album based track “Spirit”. I’ve been playing this track in the clubs since the release, it has that noticeable “reggae swing” which the crowds are loving. Check the video out and be sure to check out more music from J Hus.

Music Video | Fekky – Avirex feat Neutrino & Chip [ @FekkyOfficial ]

Fekky keep delivering quality music, if you don’t recognise this, then you need to really tune in. His latest track of his debut album  titled “AVIREX” has taken me back to my days of being on Upfront 99.3FM & Delight 103fm, when I had, and still have to this day, my all black, triple leather Avirex jacket. Back when UK Garage was the sound, and Grime was making its start. Fekky has teamed up with So Solid legend MC Neutrino, and Grime ambasador Chip for this one. The video, is a glimpse of what the UKG life was like, and a glimpse into a true pirate radio set up. You can pre order  now.
